Use Royal MCP With WooCommerce’s MCP
You don’t have to pick one. Royal MCP answers on its own endpoint, while WooCommerce’s abilities are served by the MCP Adapter’s default server, so installing Royal MCP doesn’t replace, switch off or change WooCommerce’s MCP.
Keep WooCommerce’s abilities connected for quick product and order lookups, and connect Royal MCP for the work that needs more: coupons, variations, bulk price and stock changes with a preview first, undo afterwards and every change in the audit log.
When to Pick Which
Both ship real capability. Here's how to know which one fits your sites.
You only need simple product and order lookups
- The AI only needs to find products and orders, edit a single product, change an order status or add an order note
- You want to stay on WooCommerce’s own code and nothing else
- You’re a developer building your own abilities on the WordPress Abilities API
- You’re comfortable with a developer preview that may change between WooCommerce releases
You run real stores with AI help
- You want the AI to manage coupons, variations, attributes and stock, not just products and orders
- You change prices across a whole catalog and want every bulk change previewed before it commits, and undoable for up to 7 days after
- You need a record of every store change the AI made: the audit log is on from day one and hash-chained
- You give a store manager or client a connection that only sees the store tools you allow (Custom Endpoint Profiles)
- You want one plugin to handle the store and everything around it: product pages in Divi or Elementor, SEO meta in Yoast or Rank Math, and site content
