## Permissions & safety

WooCommerce write operations (create product, update order status, apply coupon) require the connecting user to have the `shop_manager` or `administrator` capability. Royal MCP enforces WordPress’s standard capability checks on every WooCommerce tool call — the AI client can only edit what the user themselves has permission to edit.

Free tools operate one object at a time

The free 29 tools don’t emit undo tokens because they act on one product, order, or coupon per call. The blast radius of a mistake is one object — the WordPress revision system captures the pre-change state on posts and meta. For multi-object operations that need atomic rollback (sale campaigns, catalog imports), the Pro bulk tools ship per-batch undo tokens.

HPOS & legacy orders

Royal MCP’s order tools work on both the classic post-type storage and the newer High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS). If your store is mid-migration or the two storage backends are out of sync, prefer setting an authoritative source in WooCommerce before running large order-scope operations.
